Building Inspections

Purchasing a property is one of the largest investment decisions you will make. It makes sense to do your homework and undertake the necessary due diligence to ensure you’re fully informed.

A building inspection report is a comprehensive document provided only by a licensed industry professional that details and comments on structural defects, damage and other major items.

A Southern Cross building inspection is conducted to the highest standard by our licensed inspectors,  all who bring a minimum of 10 years industry experience.

Our reports are carried out in accordance with Australian Standard 4349.1-2007 and will detail in plain English all major defects, safety hazards and potential problems relating to the property whilst also providing recommendations on general remediation and maintenance works that should be undertaken to bring the property up to an acceptable standard.

The inspection will cover all areas of the property where reasonable access can be gained, including:

  • The Building Interior
  • The Roof Void
  • The Roof Exterior
  • Decks and Balconies
  • Roof Exterior
  • General Exterior
  • Sheds and Carports
  • Granny Flats
  • General Site

Good communication and continued support through your buying or selling journey are at the core of what we do, delivering a small business attitude to all our inspections with a comprehensive report provided within 48 hours of conducting the inspection.

Our building inspections are typically undertaken in conjunction with timber pest inspection.

With a qualified knowledge base including building design, development and construction, we draw on our experience and inspect your investment from multiple perspectives.
